9 Months-Sullivan

Good grief it has been way too long since I have blogged.  I still have to catch up on our new house....maybe I have just found my new years resolution.  Needless to say we have been so busy these last few months.

I feel a little ahead of the game since you turn nine months old tomorrow.  This is by far my favorite age.  It is so fun to watch you learn new things, and the happiness.  You smile for days.

Stats: I am not completely sure, but last month you had to go to the Dr for the funk, and you weighed 25 lbs.  EVERYONE comments on how big you are.  I could just squeeze every inch of your fat little body.  Your nick name is "chunky monkey."

Eating: You LOVE to eat.  Anything and Everything.  You still have baby food at every meal, and I have started giving you a little of whatever we are eating.  You love bread, pasta, tomatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans.  Basically anything we have given you.  You still love your bottle too.  We give you 4 oz every few hours.  I have started giving you a sippy cup, and you are not too interested.  I think we just need to find the right kind.

Sleep: Thank goodness your sleep is getting better.  We put you down between 7 and 8, depending on when you get fussy.  You usually sleep through the night, but some nights you get up once.  Sometimes you get up in the morning about 7, other mornings you sleep until 8.  You still love sleeping in your bed, and I am so thankful for that.  You are actually pretty particular about being in your crib.  You like your bed, lights off, and quiet.  I tried putting you in bed with us when you were sick, and you were not having it.

Milestones: I feel like we have had so many milestones since my last post.  You have started getting on all fours, and doing the rocking thing.  You LOVE to stand up, and want to stand on the couch all time.  You will try to pull up if you are near something to climb on.  You need to stop that, mom is not ready for you to grow up.  You have two new teeth, and you look adorable with them.  You love to clap.  You say "mama" "dada" and "baba."  We are working on Patty Cake, and kisses.  Right now you just give open mouth slobbery kisses. I'll take it.  You are still obsessed with your brother and Bella. You LOVE taking a bath.

When it was warm you loved riding in your car.
We went to your first Christmas parade

Here are a few more from this month....

Sullivan,
You are the sweetest little boy, and it has been so fun watching you grow.  You are getting quite the little personality, and I don't think you will be our laid back little one for much longer.  You have a feisty side to you, and I have no idea where that came from :)  Your brother has really started to take up more time with you, and you are totally enamored with him.  I pray that you two will grow up being so close.  I am sure we are in for a lot of fighting, but I know you all will always love each other.  We love you so much Sully man, and thank God for choosing us to be your parents.

7 Months-Sullivan

Sully man turned 7 months last Friday.  I cannot believe it.  I thought time went fast with Hudson, it is nothing compared to the second child.

Stats: You are a whopping 23.5 lbs, and 30 inches long.  That puts you in the 98th % for both height and weight.  Big boy.  You are in 12-18 month clothes, and outgrowing them quickly.  You wear size 5 diapers.

Eating:  You went through a little period where you didn't want to eat as much baby food.  You were pretty congested so I think that made you not have much of an appetite.  You are back to normal now, and eating baby food three times a day.  You also take 4-6 ounces every 2-3 hours.  We also started giving you puffs and you love them.

Sleep: Unfortunately things have not gotten better in this department.  We always take a bath after dinner, which you absolutely love.  I lay you down between 7-8, and you always do well going to sleep.  After that you are up anywhere between 2-3 times until wake up for good between 6-7.  I thought getting in our new house and having your own room would help, but I guess that is just wishful thinking.  We have started a little sleep training.  I let you cry for about 30 minutes the last two nights before I couldn't take it anymore.  I also worry about you waking your brother when you cry.  Lord knows we need to let that bear sleep.

Milestones: Sitting up is the only new development here. You have shown zero and I mean zero interest in moving beyond the sitting position.  I am completely ok with that.  You stay where you are as long as you want buddy.  You love to sit in the floor and play, or in your bouncy seat.  You love love love being outside, and never make a peep as long as we are out.  You have been riding in Hudson's old car, and love it.  You also love Bella.  She loves to lick your snot.

Other: You have had quite the funky cold the past month it seems like.  I started using essential oils to clear it up, and it has worked wonders.  You no longer wake up covered in snot, and have a runny nose all day.  You still do not have any teeth.  Your brother still calls you "my baby."  He rarely refers to you by name.  He is still too rough with you.  I cannot wait for the day you give it back to him.  His days are numbered, and you should have a lot of payback built up.  I know you all will be so close growing up ,but I foresee lots of fighting.

Sullivan,
I will say it again.  You are the best baby.  You smile ALL time time, and can light up a room with your smile.  You have so many people that love you.  Your daddy and I love you more than anything!  We are so excited to have you with us through the holidays this year!

Halloween 2014

This Halloween was thrown together at the very last minute.  With craziness of the move (more on that in another post) it just slipped my mind to get costumes.  Also, the fact that the only thing Hudson would tell me he wanted to be was "Elsa" left me at a loss.  I kept thinking something else would strike his interest, so I put off buying anything.  Now that he has ALLL the opinions I wanted to make sure he picked his own costume.  I was perfectly fine with him being Elsa, but Luke was not having it.  Something clicked TWO DAYS before and he wanted to be a pirate.  I have no idea where it came from, but I ran with it before he changed his mind.  The girls were Anna and Elsa, so we thought it would be cute for Sully to be Olaf.  Even though we failed to take any pictures of them together.  Not that any parents effort was worth it since it was sub zero temps, and everyone had to wear jackets.  We made it down half a street before I took Sully home, and Hudson stayed with the "big kids."  We failed to take any pics, so I will leave you with the few I snapped before we left.

Sullivan REALLY wanted that sword.

Hopefully next year we will be a little more organized.

6 Months-Sullivan

I completely skipped Sullivan's 5 month update.  Our lives have been a little crazy, to say the least.

Sullivan,
I am still trying to wrap my head about you being half a year old.  You are the sweetest baby and I want  you to stay that way forever.  We are in the midst of toddler tantrums every other minute, and I need you to stay my sweet Sully. Mommy may have a nervous breakdown if you turn into a terror.  You are somewhere around 25 lbs, and LONG.  Everyone comments on how big of a baby you are, and I have a feeling you are not going to stop growing anytime soon.  You are in 9 month clothes, and size 4 diapers....big boy.

Eating: We started you on food about a month ago.  Unlike your brother you love ALL the food.  Hudson wasn't much on baby food, but you love it.  We started with cereal and fruit for breakfast, and have moved through all the fruits and veggies.  You are getting it three times a day, and 4 OZ of formula every 2-3 hours.  I have a feeling we are never going to have a problem getting you to eat.  We still have to practically tie your brother down to get him to eat.

Sleep: It PAINS me that  I can no longer brag about your sleeping.  You have completely regressed, and I am having nightmares of when your brother was a baby,  To your defense, I think the move to Nana and paw paws has screwed you up.  You like you quiet space, and you are sharing a room with your brother who likes to watch TV before he goes to sleep.  I think teething has something to do with it too.  You are up sometimes every hour.  Some nights you will sleep from 8-6.  I just can't figure out if you are waking up out of hunger or habit.  I am really hoping once you have your new room it will be nice and quiet, and it will get better.  If not, sleep training is starting ASAP.  I NEED you to start sleeping again.  My sanity needs it as well.

Milestones: you FINALLY rolled over.  It was about two weeks ago.  You still don't do it a whole lot, but I know you will be on the move in no time.  I am in no rush.  You do not have any teeth yet, but I feel like one is going to come through any day.  You have all the signs.

Other: You still have the sweetest demeanor.  You smile ALL the time, and rarely fuss.  Unless you are hungry.   You took your first ride in the mule, and absolutely loved it.'

We also had a bit of scare with your lip turning blue.  I wasn't worried about you not being able to breath because it was just your bottom lip.  The only thing we can come up with is you sucked on your lip so hard you gave yourself a hickey.

I am sure there are other things that have happened these last few months, but mommy has been running around like a crazy person and I can't come up with all of them.  Here are the few pics I snapped. I will be better next month about pictures and your post.

Sullivan,
Thank you so much for being such a sweet baby.  You can change any one's day with your big smile.  You have so many people wrapped around your finger, especially mommy and daddy.  We love you so much, and can't wait to watch you grow!
